Account and Data Deletion

Mobile Banking App · Last updated 4 November 2026

Deleting your data from the App

You can ask the Bank to remove your mobile banking registration and delete the data the App holds about you. There are two separate things you may want:

1. Deregister from the mobile app (keep your bank account)

This stops the App working for you and deletes data collected only for the App, such as device identifiers, usage logs and notification tokens. Your bank account stays open and your account records stay with the Bank.

2. Close your bank account and ask for data deletion

This needs the account to be closed first, at your branch, after clearing any dues and withdrawing the balance. After closure you may ask the Bank to erase your personal data. The Bank can erase what the law does not require it to keep.

How to make a request

  • In the App, through the deregistration or data deletion option in your profile or settings, where it is available.
  • By email: write to ho@rajarajeswaribank.bank.in from your registered email address, with the subject “Account and data deletion request”, giving your name, registered mobile number and the last four digits of your account number.
  • At any branch: ask for the deregistration or data deletion form.

We will verify your identity, which may include a one-time password sent to your registered mobile number, before acting on the request.

What happens next

StepWhat we do
AcknowledgeWe confirm we received your request, promptly.
VerifyWe check your identity and whether the account has outstanding dues.
Delete or deregisterWe remove your App registration and App-only data, and erase other personal data that we are not required to keep, within a reasonable time and in any case within the period the law requires.
ConfirmWe tell you what was deleted and what must be kept, and why.

What we must keep, and for how long

Some records cannot be deleted because the law requires the Bank to keep them. These include KYC records and transaction records, which are generally kept for at least five years after your account is closed or the relationship ends, and for longer where another law or an investigation requires it. This data is kept securely, used only for those legal purposes, and deleted when the period ends.
